About Lavani Mila
My Story. Why I’m Running
My story is the story of millions of Kenyans: one of resilience, sacrifice, and determination against impossible odds.
I was born to a mother who was just sixteen years old—young, unprepared, and armed with nothing but hope. Hope that her son would rise, and one day our story would be rewritten. That hope became hunger: hunger to learn, to rise, and to fight for others like me.
I know the sting of poverty and injustice because I have lived it. I have seen mothers choose between food and medicine. I have walked with graduates whose CVs are never read. I have seen fathers toil sunrise to sunset, yet still fail to pay school fees. I have watched bright ideas die for lack of support.
While Kenyans struggle, politicians prosper. They tell us to tighten our belts while loosening theirs. They steal taxes, ride in big cars, and build mansions, while millions sleep hungry.
- Half the nation lives below the poverty line.
 - KES 11 trillion in public debt consumes 68% of our revenue.
 - 67% of our youth are unemployed.
 - KES 2 billion is stolen daily through corruption.

This is not the Kenya we were promised.
I am not here to add another chapter to the same old book of betrayal. I am here to close it. My vision is not empty slogans; it is jobs for the youth, fair credit for entrepreneurs, opportunities for all, and a sovereign wealth fund built from our natural resources.
I am not running to build a career. I am running to end the misery of career politicians. This fight is not about me; it is about us.
My story is your story. And together, we can rise.
Rise Up. Wakati Ni Sasa.
